Hi there, my name is Tanya and I am a life coach, writer and speaker who helps people transform their lives from mundane to marvellous.
For most of my life I felt the pull between what I thought I should be doing (living the conventional life of a 9–5 job, husband, kids and house in the outer-suburbs) with what I really wanted to be doing (being my own boss, creating content that empowered others, flexibility with where and when I worked, the ability to travel on a whim, collecting experiences rather than things).
There were a few key things that stopped me from taking the leap from the conventional to the unconventional:
// Not-knowing what it was I wanted to do
// Doubt in my own abilities
// Fear of what everyone would think if I went off and did my own thing
I could have stayed on the conventional life path, but deep down I knew it wasn’t for me. So I worked on overcoming my confusion, doubts and fears.
Then one day, I decided to ‘feel the fear but do it anyway’.
// I quit my nice, safe job in publishing
// I went full-time in my coaching business
// I packed up my things and went digital nomad-ing
I now help people who are tired of the status quo gain the clarity and confidence they need to live an unconventional life.
I am a trained life coach (Beautiful You Coaching Academy), with other qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Graduate Diploma in Publishing and Editing, and Master of Communication (all from RMIT).
But more than that, I am a beach-loving, ukulele-playing yogi, who has a not-so-secret interest in astrology. When I’m not exploring the world, you can find me in Melbourne, Australia.
