Sustainable Heating is a training and consulting organization dedicated to advancing knowledge in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable heating and cooling systems. Our mission is to equip professionals with the skills and insights needed to contribute to the global energy transition.

Our primary instructor, Dr. Selva Calixto, is the CEO and Founder of Sustainable Heating. She holds a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University (USA). With over nine years of expertise in renewable energy technologies, district heating systems, scenario modeling, and waste-to-energy projects, she brings a unique mix of academic rigor and real-world experience to her teaching.

Prior to founding Sustainable Heating, Selva’s research focused on developing innovative models to assess the technical, economic, and environmental performance of next-generation district heating systems. She has contributed to major European projects and participated in international collaborations in the United States, giving her work both a global and practical perspective.
