Dr Sumal Nandasena is a Specialist in Community Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Master of Science (MSc) in Community Medicine, Doctor of Medicine in Community Medicine (MD) and Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Sociology. Dr Nandasena has over 15 years of public health experience. Dr Nandasena is a trainer in public health and community medicine for undergraduate and postgraduate training programs an author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications and over 80 national and international research presentations. He has extensive experience in primary health care re-organization, programme evaluation, use of GIS methods, medical statistics, and public health research with a special focus on respiratory disease, nutrition and air pollution.
