Kyle Vance

About Me

Kyle is a passionate advocate for folk music. With a German grandmother and Hungarian grandfather, Kyle grew up in Australia listening to a wide variety of musical influences.

He has been playing the piano accordion since he was 9 years old. He studied the accordion privately in Adelaide with renowned teacher Rawnee Pearce. At 10 he began singing in the Festival of Music choir. He sang with the Festival of Music choir for the maximum allowable time of three years. Wanting to develop his rhythmic knowledge and skills, he took drum lessons for five years. He has been playing music ever since.

Kyle initiated the online music resource Folk Music Plus, is a member of Folk Alliance Australia, and a Festival of Music alumni. He contributes to various accordion forums, arranges sheet music for the accordion, and hopes to inspire people of all ages on their musical journey.
