Shawn Myers, M.S.

Adjunct Instructor, Software Trainer

My interest in entrepreneurship started in 2010 when I was hired to create a series of workshops for the Business Opportunity and Workforce Development program, which focused on financial management training for entrepreneurs. This eventually led to opportunities to work with other government agencies and dozens of small business owners, where I provided help related to cash flow forecasting and general accounting. In 2011, I began teaching classes as a Certified Facilitator for the Kaufman Foundation’s FastTrac program, which is one of the largest providers of entrepreneurship education in the United States.

I’ve been a graduate school adjunct instructor at Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware since 2013. My areas of specialization include technology management, course redevelopment, creating video content and Microsoft Office application training.

“Shawn took what was seemingly a difficult subject and made it simple to understand; I look forward to more finance classes as I now understand many businesses have failed because of lack of knowledge in finances.”

“I was uncomfortable with this portion of the class (financial discussion) prior to the class because of previous experiences in school. However, Shawn really made sense of all the information and presented it in a manner that anyone could understand.”
