International ESL Teacher
English as a Second Language (ESL) / English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher, Trainer, Master Coach, BA, MTRP.
Sharmilla is from South Africa, who identifies with being a global citizen.
She is an International English as a Second Language (ESL) / English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher, Trainer and Master Coach with a neutral English accent. Sharmilla has worked in a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) for over 11 years; as a Special Investigator of organized crime, within a National Directorate of Special Operations, for over 3 years; and in a National Department of Trade and Industry for approximately 3 years.
Some of her experience includes teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language; the investigations of organized criminal activities; operational as well as strategic analysis and research within a FIU; and domestic/national as well as international FIU work.
In addition to being a teacher, having been a mentor, supervisor, and manager has allowed Sharmilla to have first-hand experience with not only guiding communications in terms of report-writing, understanding, interpretation, analysis, professional speaking, and presentation, etc., but it has also provided her opportunities to identify basic mistakes which seem to be common amongst second-language/foreign-language English speakers.
Having spent many years working intensively in the domain of International FIU Cooperation, has graced Sharmilla with the opportunity of being able to appreciate the tremendous value of common-understanding - and most especially in the FIU-domain - the precise, accurate, succinct and timorous interpretation and communication of information.
