Patient+Family Care was founded by Sara Mosher, who is a registered nurse and has been a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit since 2001. Her passion within the profession has always been the patient and family experience and has devoted herself to helping improve the NICU journey for hundreds of families during her career. Sara became a March of Dimes NICU Family Support Specialist in 2009 which allowed her to focus even more of her attention on supporting families through the emotional journey of a neonatal crisis. Through this role, Sara was invited to serve on the March of Dimes National NICU Training Faculty and has traveled across the country speaking to hospital staff at individual organizations, and at national conferences, about the importance of supporting families and how to incorporate families into daily care practices. Sara also has been contracted by multiple health systems to develop individualized staff education related to family support and enjoys the opportunity to visit new units and meet other professionals that love neonatal nursing.
During Sara’s career she has filled roles from bedside clinician, neonatal transport nurse, clinical educator, family support specialist and NICU manager and is now wanting to share her passion and talents with others through education and on line courses.
