About Me:

Hi. My name is Greg Safko, and I am a passionate teacher of Computer Science and Mathematics, with the honor of having taught several thousand students either in-person or online.

My bachelors degree is in mathematics, but I ended up with my first job as a Computer Programmer and Software Engineer. I wrote software for many industries, including Petrochemical, Hospital Services, Health and Safety, and Telecommunications. After 10+ years in the field, I have since earned my Masters and PhD in Computer Science, and I am now teaching Computer Science and Programming courses at High Schools, Universities, and Summer Programming Academies. My students have attended and graduated from many top tier schools, and I want to share the same teaching style I gave to them with you.

My Expectations:

Learning how to code is similar to learning a musical instrument or learning any new skill: It takes time, you must be patient, you must practice, and you must trust the process. I hope my teaching style and your desire to learn will create a top-notch experience for you.
