An introduction to our QTS qualified lead teacher:
Hello there, I’m Miss Love and I am Co Owner and Lead Teacher at Study Hat. So what makes me qualified to tutor your child through your studies you ask. Let me share just a little about myself to help you decide.
In the early years of my career I started in the corporate world in order to finance my love of travelling whilst young and free of responsibilities. I travelled the world extensively and discovered my dreams of becoming a child educator. I continued to work full time whilst also studying full time for my degree.
I have a First Class Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies and Geography, I obtained my Qualified Teacher Status taking the skills tests in Literacy, Maths and ICT and I completed my Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Upper Primary in 2010.
In the first half of my teaching career, I taught years 3 and 6 across two schools in an Academy in London and Kent. Within this teaching capacity, I had two simultaneous key leadership roles as both the ICT Coordinator and Global Ambassador (pioneering and leading an international school partnership in Africa), adding to my portfolio of international teaching.
I have been fortunate enough to teach in Ghana, India, Australia and most recently in a different capacity, in America. For the latter half of my traditional teaching career to date, I transitioned into a more flexible yet more challenging supply teacher role across all ages, reception to year 6. This quickly lead me to find my professional niche and passion with a teaching placement in year 6, focussing on helping pupils achieve and successfully pass their end of year SATs exams.
I temporarily left the classroom teaching role in order to start and raise my own family full time, choosing to home school my two girls. In order to continue to use my teaching skills and experiences, I have now joined the professional team at Study Hat to help manage the online education business and migrate into online tutoring.
My ambitions are to continue to help ease the stress and anxiety surrounding the exam process for students by providing reassurance and strategies to help guide each and every pupil to reach their full potential, tapping into their skills and abilities to feel confident about themselves and ultimately succeed.
Having a wide, varied teaching and learning scope has allowed me to strengthen my own skill set for delivering different international curriculums, to many different cultures with various learning styles and applying this to inspire, motivate and construct meaningful educational experiences for all ages and backgrounds.
I look forward to working with you and your child in the near future should you wish to join me in our online classroom.
