I created this course in honor of my mother, Vera Ligtelijn-DePass. As a Montessori Specialist, she was an icon among Montessorians. Vera’s experience in Montessori education (as a child and young adult), gave her the mark of excellence and authenticity among her peers. She held a Master’s degree in Early Childhood from the University of Amsterdam in Holland, AMI/AMS Early Childhood, and AMI Elementary certificates, which supported her unique eclectic approach to teaching children as well as adults. Her visionary views for the implementation of Montessori in the public sector have been realized over the years and in today’s online communication that allows parents, administrative and teaching personnel an opportunity to access this exclusive material.
True to Maria Montessori's philosophy, and as Vera's daughter, I facilitate learning independence. As a product of Montessori education and a lifelong learner, I connect students with their learning as an instructional designer. At the core of my project design is a thoughtful consideration of learning outcomes using trusted learning principles for course development. I utilize instructional tools to facilitate retention for knowledge and skillset attainment. I have designed and developed instructor-led training process solutions for both internal and external clients, and leverage a keen aptitude for program design to create, develop and implement instructional materials to facilitate learning outcomes in synchronous or asynchronous environments utilizing trusted andragogical and pedagogical principles. #click.earning.by.design
