Reza Zaheri

I’m Reza Zaheri, a cyber security professional with over 20 years of leadership and hands-on experience working Cyber Security with Fortune 100 companies.

I have lived and breathed cyber security for a very long time: having spent the first few years of my career conducting numerous security assessments and managing a Security Engineering team, I then moved on fight the bad guys on the cyber front lines for over 10 years, by directing Digital Forensics & Incident Response teams for Fortune 100 companies.

I was responsible for incident detection, investigation and digital forensics of all cyber security incidents across the United States, as well as providing digital forensics assistance to Latin American regional offices.

I managed and participated in hundreds of investigations, working with the FBI and DHS at times, and saw first hand how the bad guys were trying to break into our computers, emails, mobile phones and networks.

And it was also during this time, using all the first-hand knowledge I had gained over the years, that I decided to create my very own Enterprise Security Awareness program, whereby I presented the engaging cyber security training either in-person, or via online videos, to 30,000 of my fellow employees across the United States and Latin America.

It was very successful, and received really positive feedback.

I realized it was something I was truly passionate about: personally helping people learn cyber security awareness, and making them feel empowered, secure and private again on the Internet...

So in addition to currently working as a Chief Security Officer for a US corporation,  I recently created 1:M Cyber Security: a security awareness training company that teaches you to spot the red flags in social engineering attacks, and help protect your sensitive data and systems, both at work and at home. I make the training very effective, memorable and entertaining, by personally connecting with you using visuals, humor, and by presenting the material in a language that everyone can understand.

I strongly believe that you need a passionate, energetic and engaging presenter, who will educate you on all the main cyber threats you face, based on real world experiences on the front lines, and without completely boring you guys to sleep :)

This is why I decided to become a Udemy instructor - I wanted to share my true passion of educating you, through online courses, on cyber security awareness. And to show you, in a entertaining way, how you can protect yourself, your family and your business from the bad guys.

For me, this is more than providing you excellent training;  it is about changing your online behaviors for a lifetime.

When I am not trying to save the world from the bad guys (one student at a time), I love being outdoors: be it hanging out at the beach with friends, or sitting next to a campfire in the wilderness. I am also an avid mixed martial arts student, and fan, as well as a yoga practitioner. And if I have any spare time in between teaching, I thrive on visiting new countries, experiencing new cultures, peoples, and food.
