I am a certified Spanish Teacher with many years of experience teaching children, youth, and adults. I received my BS in Secondary Education - Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my MBA in International Business at the University of Maryland University College. I have studied extensively in Spain and Mexico, spent significant time training adult learners in Puerto Rico, and traveled throughout North America and Europe. I have taught students at all ages in Spanish and English Language Arts, trained an army of adult learners, and spent a large portion of my career working with schools and state departments of education on the largest federal longitudinal educational research studies and assessments in the U.S. that show what students know and and an do.
I enjoy sharing my passion for learning with my students and strive to provide multiple ways to practice learning. Understanding that not everyone learns the same way and emphasizing that Spanish is primarily a spoken language are key tenets in my teaching and presenting style.
