Your Malay Language Buddy
About me
Malaysian. Fluent in Malay language.
I have been friend with a lot of people coming from various countries and backgrounds during my studies. I have discovered their passion in learning Malay language—and yet still unable to talk anything meaningful even after several years living in the country.
Malay language does not belong to the harder bracket category like Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, etc do.
What makes learning the language hard is the lack of resources available out there when you just started. And don't get me even started with how different formal Malay and informal(colloquial) Malay can be.
Even if you bought a book teaching you the language, I can assure you that most of the time, they won't even teach you the informal Malay. They will teach you the formal Malay, the one that almost no one use when conversing in their daily life. It makes new learner of the language confuse on why they are unable to apply whatever they have learned from the book. These two reasons are enough to halt anyone's journey to master this wonderful language.
Malay language can be easy with the right approach. Hopefully, I have managed to demystify the language enough to act as launching pad for you to start confidently speaking Malay language in any way you want.
