Pinak graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology, and a minor in Global Health. He completed a Masters of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. While earning his Masters, he also earned a minor in College Teaching from USF's Academy for Teaching and Learning Excellence. Pinak received his MD from St. George's University. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Pathology at Harvard.
