Pete Leibman is the Founder of Dream Job Academy and the Creator of The Washington Wizards’ Sports Careers Day, career development programs attended by thousands of people since 2004.
Like most young job-seekers, Pete initially struggled to make the transition from college to career. However, he persevered and ultimately beat out hundreds of more experienced candidates to land his first dream job (to work for a pro sports franchise) after graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 2003.
Less than 2 years later, he was promoted into management for the NBA’s Washington Wizards (at the age of 23). He then managed and trained entry-level staff, while being ranked as the franchise’s #1 Salesperson for 3 straight years.
Today, Pete is a popular keynote speaker, and he has been invited to share his career advice at some of the world's best colleges, including Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University.
Pete’s first book, titled “I Got My Dream Job And So Can You: 7 Steps To Creating Your Ideal Career After College” will be published by The American Management Association in early 2012.
