Paula began her study and practice of yoga in her very first year of college. She enrolled in the first yoga course ever offered at the University of FL which met in the ROTC building. From there she also became a student of TM (transcendental meditation) and psychology. In the late 80’s Paula became involved with the Iyengar yoga community in San Francisco and began practicing yoga from this perspective for years. She was then approached by her teacher to begin teaching and has now been teaching in the Iyengar style for almost 25 years.
Throughout this time Paula has also become a certified massage therapist as well as a personal trainer with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). Paula also received her MA in Body Oriented Psychotherapy. She has often merged these modalities to work with bodies and their alignment, movement and awareness in the most efficient way. Paula currently uses her recent certification as Senior Exercise Specialist to work with this growing population doing both fitness and yoga.
When she is not working, Paula likes to dance (ballet and bellydance) and take walks to the Pacific Ocean.
