I was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey.
I graduated from the Department of English Language Teaching, Middle East Technical University in 2012 (I finished university in 3.5 years instead of 4 years with a GPA of 3.40 out of 4.00)
I Completed my M.A. degree on English Language Teaching in Gazi University in 2014 (with a GPA of 3.63 out of 4.00) and wrote my Master's thesis on Corrective Feedback.
I've been working as a lecturer of English at Hacettepe University for 2.5 years now.
For this academic year 2014-2015, I am working as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant for Turkish at University of Texas at Austin. So I am literally teaching my native language to Americans!
I have taken TÜBİTAK (Turkey's National Council for Research), Turkish Government and Fulbright scholarships for my success.
I know English and Italian, and I will learn Spanish next semester. My interests are traveling (I have been to Japan, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and the US), making research about linguistics and language education (and present them in national and international conferences), learning languages, reading, listening to music and doing sport.
