Neal’s first priority is to his wife, Carolyn, now married thirty three years, and to their two children, Annie and Emily. Neal comes with a strong business career. He has a Bachelor of Science, Business Management and 25 years experience in leadership and management. He has supervised and trained a twenty seven person national sales department generating $21 million annually. His skills include the ability to lead, to think conceptually as well as in specifics, to interface with public entities, to write and speak clearly, to organize well and to make good things happen.
All of his experience and education has led Neal to focus on helping people and organizations find clarity and direction. Much of the time, this includes coaching people on improving their communication skills. He also helps them recognize and respond to challenges and conflicts in themselves, their families and their organizations.
He attended Fuller Seminary and received his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2012. His emphasis was on discovering and addressing challenges before they become public conflicts.
In 2007, Neal accepted a call as executive pastor at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. He oversees the staff of 120 and manages the daily activities of this thriving church. It has 2000 members, 1300 in worship at five services with one on Saturday night and four on Sunday including a video café. Neal is the second preacher and continues to teach and lead in ways that lead people to active discipleship with Jesus Christ.
