Experienced Enterprise-wide Risk and Compliance professional with over thirty (30) years of experience in both Private and Public Sector companies. Twenty of these were in Enterprise Risk Management, with over fifteen years spent in senior roles within the ICT industry. Excellent reputation for designing and implementing enterprise risk and compliance management policy frameworks and processes. Well renowned in the Governance of Risk and Compliance, especially in the role of Independent Risk Management Committee Chairperson.

Work experience in the Risk Management profession

Monica is a highly experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professional, having been in senior management and executive positions in the profession since 2003. Over fifteen of these years were spent in senior roles within the ICT industry.

Her work experience, since 1993, has been within both public and private sectors, in ICT, manufacturing, mining, as well as Justice and constitutional administration.

She has an impressive track record for design and successful implementation of ERM policies, frameworks, and processes for at least three large organizations.

The governance of risk and compliance

Monica is well renowned for her roles in the Governance of Risk and compliance, especially as an Independent Risk Management Committee (RMC) Chairperson. She has chaired RMCs since 2013. She has also participated in Risk and Audit Committees as a member and reporting on behalf of the RMCs chaired.

Trainer and facilitator

Monica has presented and facilitated many workshops in ERM. She is an accredited facilitator and assessor for risk management courses by several SETAs. She also facilitates life and team coaching sessions as a Master life Coach.

Professional memberships and affiliations

· The Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) from 2004; where I sat on the Education and Technical Committee between 2012–2016; the purpose of the Committee was to approve CPD career path in enterprise risk management and education material for institutions that need IRMSA endorsement for the enterprise risk management courses.
