PhDr. Michal Kopčan is a certified mental coach, mentor, therapist, author, and a professional member of the Slovak Association of Coaches.
He further developed his university studies in the field of andragogy (adult education) and the psychology of education through personal studies in the area of mental preparation. He completed his university studies by obtaining the PhDr. degree. The topic of his doctoral thesis was the Mental and Emotional Development in Adulthood.
He is officially certified as a mental trainer by the International Mental Game Coaching Association (IMGCA) based in the USA (San Jose, California) and is also a professional member of this federation.
He is also certified in several areas: Mindfulness Stress Reduction; Rapid Resolution Therapy, Basics of Hypnosis, Narrative Psychotherapy, Oxygen Advantage Certification, Breath is Life Certification, Somatic Experiencing (Basic Training), Topic-Oriented Interaction: Psychotherapeutic and Psychoeducational Method.
He is currently enrolled in a long-term psychotherapeutic training program with PCA.
Michal is part of several successful sports projects such as Sports Connect, Marian Gáborík's Hockey School, Football School, and more. He has collaborated extensively with the football club ŠK Slovan Bratislava. In the field of professional sports, he has worked with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš, AS Trenčín, FC Slovan Liberec. Currently, he collaborates with the Hungarian football team Puskás Akadémia FC, as well as with the Slovak women's handball team and the Slovak men's national futsal team.
He regularly gives lectures for various sports teams, from children to professional athletes. He is the author of the books "The Champion's Mind" - a mental guide on the journey to sports success, and "The Clear Mind Model" - the key to a stress-free life.
