Matthew is an experienced management system professional who has worked within the certification industry for 13 years; 10 of which were spent working for a UKAS accredited Certification Body. He is professionally registered with The Chartered Quality Institute as a Practitioner (PCQI) and as an Associate of The Chartered Management Institute (ACMI). In addition to this, he is an International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) qualified Lead Auditor of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems.
Starting out as an Administrator, main duties including booking customer ISO assessments and arranging dates with the Auditor and creating customer ISO UKAS certificates. Training on the use of the IAF Man guidance table, creating quotations for initial, triennial and scope extension assessments became part of a crucial role. Development of becoming an Auditor took place with completion of IRCA Internal and Lead Auditor course and witnessing of a variety of assessments over a three year period. This lead to becoming a lead auditor spanning over a five year period for the certification body.
Matthew now consults in the development & implementation of management systems compliant with ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001:2018 (Health and Safety), ISO 27001 (Information Security) and SIA ACS (Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme) and combines a professional approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
He works for certification bodies auditing various organisations management systems and has been responsible for developing & delivering various training courses including IRCA approved Foundation, Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor training courses.
