Kevin Nguyen

Hello.  I  am Kevin.  I am very passionate about teaching math and helping you understand complex concepts by explanations that are thorough and simple to understand using simple real world things (and sometimes drawings) to help you understand and memorize all math concepts easily and quickly!

I am a credentialed teacher and a former SAT math teacher at a California High School. I am currently teaching math at an academy.  I have earned a Master of Arts in Education, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Bachelor of Arts in from the University of California and the University of Phoenix.

I have successfully taught and tutored students in math (Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Trigonometry, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, Middle School Math, Elementary Math, K-8th Math) and test prep (SAT Math, ACT Math, GED, GRE, ASVAB and more) for over 20 years in public schools and professional tutoring centers to K-12th grade students, college students, and adults.

Many of my students have successfully improved in their classes for math and other subjects. Some of my students have received educational scholarships (some received $16,000 scholarships from their school districts) and many of my students improved a lot in their SAT scores (some have scored 780 in SAT Math and 780 in SAT English.) Furthermore, many of my students have been accepted into top engineering or medical programs at the UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, NYU, USC, etc.  Additionally, some of my students are currently ranking in the top 1 percentile at their schools.  Some have graduated as valedictorians at their high schools and some went on to colleges when they were only fourteen years old.
