Mark has specialised in online learning for the past 8 years. After joining mobile phone retailer Phones 4u in 2001, Mark quickly forged a successful career as a learning and development generalist before establishing the company's first online learning department in 2007. Over the next few years Mark increased the internal online usage from 100 to over 48,000 hits a month accounting for over 67,500 hours of training a year for Phones 4u's 5000 staff.
News of the successful strategies used at Phones 4u quickly spread and by 2012 Mark had created training content for Apple, Samsung, HTC, Microsoft, BlackBerry, Sony, EE, Vodafone, O2, Virgin Media and BSkyB. Mark also worked on the communication videos and supporting training material for the high profile company vision and company-wide compliance training for the sale of insurance products, the Bribery Act and equality and diversity.
Since leaving Phones 4u in 2012 Mark moved into the world of work-based learning. At EQL Solutions, Mark created efficiency through the use of learning platforms including ePortfolio systems and the Fuse social learning and video platform. Mark has always pioneered innovative ways to make training content more effective. As well as establishing social learning within EQL Solutions and their impressive customer base, Mark also created a series of videos to support functional skills. These videos have proven to be phenomenally successfully and quite different to anything else in the marketplace today.
Mark is passionate about learning and learning technologies. His core belief is that tremendous positive real-world impact can be made by successfully implementing online learning, challenging the convention and continually innovating.
