About me
Louise McCormack is a Trustworthy AI researcher, AI governance specialist and consultant whose work focuses on helping organisations operationalise trustworthy AI through practical engineering approaches. Her expertise spans AI governance, assurance engineering, governance data, traceability, evidence engineering and AI lifecycle management. She has implemented trustworthy AI management systems in organisations successfully achieving certificaton for a large multinational in ISO/IEC 42001.
Louise is a doctoral researcher at the University of Galway, where her research explores the evaluation and implementation of Trustworthy AI in line with emerging regulations and standards, including the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001. She also serves as an Expert Representative on AI Standards through the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), contributing to the development of international AI standards, and works as an AI Consultant with Daon.
She has authored peer-reviewed research on AI governance and Trustworthy AI, developed the Trustworthy AI Maturity Model (TAIMM), and has delivered TEDx talks on the future of trustworthy AI and responsible innovation.
Through her courses, Louise combines academic research with industry experience to provide practical, technically grounded training that helps engineers, architects, AI practitioners and governance professionals build transparent, traceable and continuously assured AI systems.
