Eduprenuer & Potterhead
I believe education should be student-centered. The content should be relevant and customized for the student who you are teaching. I take time to get to know my students and fully understand their individual goals.
Although I have been teaching and tutoring for over 19 years, my experience has not made me stagnant. I have continued to develop my craft and I use a combination of traditional and modern methods. I also incorporate technology, crafts, drama, and teamwork into my teaching to give my students the most out of their lessons.
I love knowing that my work is meaningful. I think being an educator means you are helping others reach their greatness. Being a part of that process makes me proud. Also, teaching (especially online) gives me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and learn about their different cultures.
I have a Bachelor of Education and I am CELTA certified as an English Instructor. I have run my own private school, daycare, afterschool program, and several summer camps. I homeschooled my children until middle school. I have also taught with the NYC Department of Education.
