About me
Kenneth Mortensen is a certified yoga teacher and founder of KM Yoga in Norway.
He is mainly interested in meeting YOU, who you are, underneath the layers of what we humans constantly feel pressure to accomplish.
THE JOURNEY: Kenneth previously suffered injuries in both the lower back and neck. This resulted in 13 years of chronic pain, including a surgery. In the midst of this, Yoga became a larger and larger part of his life. This wonderful practice became a both a life saver and huge inspiration.
It all changed. Life moved slower with deeper awareness.
Kenneth also loves his training, inspired by calisthenics and the crossfit world. So then, how to bring the mindset of Yoga into fitness? How may I move with awareness no matter what?
Finally - the fusion between Yoga and Fitness was born. It is a wonderful combination when the focus is completely on the Awareness through all the movements.
Another program is under development - how to deal with chronic lower back pain. To be continued!
THE VISION: In all the programs of KM Yoga, the vision is to SEE and create SPACE for YOU, to unfold and create your very own unique practice.
EXPERIENCE:
Kenneth is a Yoga teacher , functional fitness instructor, a Well-being coach and a personal trainer.
Kenneth leads a number of projects focused on well-being, both for private and for corporate, including the Police and prison system in the southern part of Norway.
TRAINING:
Kenneth is educated through the school of Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico, with 600 hours of training. Along with this, Reiki level 1 and 2. Several Well-being programs such as Trauma therapy for yoga teachers by Susi Wrenshaw in Manchester, Pain cure clinic, energy master flow by Dr. Allen in LA, USA, and Life coaching program by Steve G. Jones is completed after his original training.
Kenneth has been teaching for almost 8 years, and his teaching is slow, based on heart and awareness. He always cares more about YOU, the human being, than what you can actually accomplish.
