Kayla Parker has a proven success record of creating systems in organizations to maximize resources and increase student achievement. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in EC-4 from Midwestern State University. During her 13 years in the Texas Public Education system, she has served as an elementary teacher and Associate Principal in a Title I campus, and currently serves as the Associate Principal in a North Texas suburban school district in the DFW area. By creating systems of support, she led a Title I high school from “Unacceptable” to “Recognized” within two years. Kayla is the founder of a nation-wide feeding program called “The Backpack Buddy Club” and Author of the book, “Take the Blindfold Off.” She was named ABC Person of the Year for 2006, featured on the 700 Club, and recognized on ABC Nightline News for her ability to identify and create solutions for the root cause of academic struggles. Kayla’s interests include disaggregating data, building data stories, identifying options for systemic solutions, and integrating a sustainable culture.
