Kate is an accredited Carbon Literacy trainer. Professionals and students from all over the world participate in her courses.

She studied decarbonisation strategies with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and in 2022 she became an accredited Carbon Literacy trainer.

Her research on the carbon footprint of the academic sector is published in peer-reviewed journals.
