High Performance Coach
Joseph Salamanca holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University San Marcos. Since 2018, Joseph has worked as the General Manager of Cloak & Petal in San Diego, California, a Michelin Guide California Restaurant. In 2020, Joseph founded High Performance Coaching by Joe, using the worlds number one rated and researched coaching curriculum designed by the High Performance Institute. He finds discipline, consistency, and tenacity to be the most valuable qualities for success in running his businesses. These values were instilled by his 24 year Navy Veteran dad and his mom, a nurse at a VA hospital in Philadelphia.
In 2006, Joseph began working in restaurants and has held managerial positions in nearly every restaurant he has worked. He valued commitment and dedication in order to learn the ins and outs of every job so that he could later manage and help operate the restaurants. In 2017 he earned his first General Manager position where he was able to apply all the experience he gained previously.
He wasn’t always a high performer, but he always had amazing mentors and people around him to support his goals. In 2020, Joseph hit a low point in life and began his journey into recovery and has been sober since. With the support of his partner, Monica, and his amazing coaches, he was able to reach new heights, and become a Certified High Performance Coach.
In an effort to help other managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and restaurateurs in the same way they helped him, he started his own coaching business to give back what was so freely given to him. Joseph believes all his experience in the restaurant industry, having coaches, working with others and building teams was crucial in developing the ethics and skills he practices in his coaching business today.
When not working in the restaurant or coaching on Zoom, Joseph spends his time with his Beagle Rocco, his fiancé Monica, and his younger sister Allyson. He enjoys traveling to Las Vegas, to the East Coast where his family lives, and to different countries like Italy, Japan, or the Philippines. Joseph hopes to continue using his dedication and tenacity to become one of the world’s best high performance coaches.
