Jill Townsend

I was born in Santa Monica, California, January 25th, 1945, just before the end of WW2. I was raised on Long Island by the beach.  My life really began when I left home in 1963 to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, U.K.

Thinking I wanted to be an actress, I proceeded to play on Broadway, in Films and TV from 1965 to 1979 when I suddenly realized I had done all this backwards! Instead of living a life making movies of other people, I wanted to live a life someone would want to make a movie about! This realization came when I traveled to Egypt to make a film. My psychic abilities had always been with me, but really became activated during this time in Egypt.

I quit acting, began writing, worked as a mediator in various world conflicts for a Swiss organization; taught briefly on 2 negotiation projects at Harvard Law School; brainstormed at Oxford University and then moved back to the States in 1989.

From then, I taught Council in many schools; been a Council Facilitator at various Zen Centers and Waldorf Schools; and in Youth Authority Prisons. I led Vision Quests for Students and also for Adults.

I work as a Spiritual Counselor; mediating conflicts; I offer healing and energy work; Ceremonials; Tarot readings and occasionally mediumship.

I consider myself an intuitive.
