Hi there! I'm Dr. Jessica.
I'm the Busy Mind Psychologist and founder of Busy Mind Reboot.
With four published books, including the award-winning book for therapists, The ACT Approach, and a fun, reflective card deck, The ACT deck, I am an expert and peer reviewed trainer for a type of therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT teaches folks how to notice and sit with their full experience — including painful thoughts, feelings, memories, and physical sensations we often attempt to avoid — in order to interrupt unhelpful patterns and live a meaningful life. Whatever that means to you.
Too often we are focused on unpleasant stuff in the past or future, or attempting to control things outside of our control that we end up missing the beautiful moments that matter most to us.
I work one-on-one with people in private practice, provide free content on Instagram (@busymindpsychologist), and develop educational courses to use my skills as a psychologist and my knowledge as an imperfect human to help as many people step into their best self.
