About me
I speak, train and blog about how to win as a brand or business using digital marketing and social media technologies. It doesn't matter the size of your business, you can leverage on these tools to get results that can astound your competitors.
I am the Founder of SociallyNaija, a platform that educates both newbies and experts on the subject. I also host a weekly vlog series called #JesseSpeaks where I share practical and no-nonsense tips on achieving your leverage with these marketing technologies.
I have over 7 years experience serving in various capacities proffering digital and social media solutions to industry sectors like IT Infrastructure and Software, Energy, Real Estate, Professional Services and Consulting, Security, Telecoms, Sports, Education, Religion, etc. Furthermore, I have also facilitated workshops that had in attendance representatives from some of the World’s and Africa’s biggest brands. Some of such include Africa's largest social media marketing event - Social Media Week Lagos and the West Africa Fashion Week. I have trained entrepreneurs and agency creatives too.
I am a Certified E-business Professional in Customer Relationship Management from the EC-Council University, Massachusetts, USA, and a graduate of Computer Sciences from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
As a Digital Strategy/Social Media Manager for a Sports Media and Athletes Management firm in Lagos, Nigeria, I was responsible for managing the entire online strategy for the Sports Media and Management firm and executing tasks such as website/blog content, campaign, social media management. I helped to position company as the No. 1 online community for African Athletics, with over 3 million views garnered from website and video views in 2 years. This strong online presence contributed largely to attracting funding and scholarships from corporate bodies for talented young athletes in the Making of Champions (MoC) Track club set up to revive Nigerian Athletics and train for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Furthermore, under my leadership, more light has been beamed on Nigerian/African athletics through live social media/online coverage of major competitions like the London 2017 IAAF World Championships, Rio 2016 Olympics, World Junior Championships in Poland 2016, World Championships in Beijing 2015, All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville and South Africa, Nigerian National Athletic Trials.
Prior to this, I worked as an E-Business Development Executive/Social Media Manager for CBC EMEA Corporation in Lagos. I initiated and implemented online strategies for the 5 companies in the group - CBC Energy, CBC Infrastructure, CBC Surveillance, GEDU Technologies and CBC Properties. I then re-engineered the Group's website with these objectives: improving engagement, lead conversion and information richness. Jesse developed web-enabled sales channel strategy which fed offline sales officers with Customer Intelligence and increased fan base engagement and following across social channels, especially on Facebook by over 3000% in less than 4 weeks. Due to SEO strategies deployed, the website's Alexa rank climbed by over 650,000 points in four and half months.
