I am an academic librarian and a trainer at the University of Minnesota with 20 years of experience. During this time I have advised, mentored and taught hundreds (if not thousands!) of students, faculty, and librarians who have struggled to get their articles, books, and dissertations finished and published. I also design and teach a wide variety of workshops to help people be more effective in the workplace, their businesses, and their careers. I’m absolutely passionate about teaching and learning!
As an academic I have lived the “publish or perish” mandate, working feverishly to get tenure and then full promotion. I know what it’s like to stare at the blinking cursor and blank screen. But I also know how to win that stare-down!
I have written and published dozens of articles in both academic journals and trade magazines. I’ve also tackled the mother of all writing projects- the book – not once, but twice! The first I published through a traditional publisher and the other I self-published on the Kindle platform.
Minnesota is where I've touched down to raise my family, but admit that as a Jersey Girl I’m a bit of a fish out of water here in the land of 10,000 lakes and no ocean. And yet, I love the Upper Midwest and have made it my new home.
If there’s anything more that I can do to help you get your ideas and insights out in the world through your writing, please let me know.I’d like to help you as much as I can!
