HMI Institute of Health Sciences (HMI-IHS) is the first
dedicated private provider of healthcare training and education in
Singapore. The Institute provides nationally accredited nursing
education and healthcare vocational skills training, and also offers
courses on Emergency Life Support (Pre-Hospital Care). To date, HMI-IHS has trained more than 4,000 graduates for the Singapore healthcare industry.
The Institute's primary objective of nurturing students is to enhance learning outcomes. As such, it places emphasis on adopting a variety of teaching methodology. This includes knowledge acquisition through theory classes, competency-building through experiential learning, as well as on-the-job learning. As a result, HMI-IHS students are well-equipped with the ideal balance of theoretical and practical skills, making them valuable assets to their employers.
HMI-IHS also worked closely with our valued industry partners to ensure programmes offered are relevant to industry needs, as well as arrangements for clinical attachments and job placement opportunities for its WSQ students/graduates.
Additionally, HMI-IHS is also the biggest training centre which offers various emergency life support short courses; these courses are accredited and recognized by the National Resuscitation Council (NRC), the National First Aid Council (NFAC), Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and National Registry of Coaches (NROC). More than 140,000 people have benefitted from the courses conducted by HMI-IHS.
