Franklin Folahan
Senior training consultant
About me
I began to work as a bids and tenders associate for the acquisition of government contracts. The role was complex and required developing new skills necessary to overcome the daily challenges, but I enjoyed it immensely. As I progressed in my work, my interest grew in the delivery aspect of the project. As such, I took on greater responsibilities and enhanced my project management skills and qualifications with Prince2, Agile BA, Agile PM, Scrum, Lean six sigma, APMP and many more skills, which helped me excel in the roles.
Over time, I also discovered that I have a talent for communication and training other project managers in practical management. As such, I joined a training company to put this skill to good use and became a training consultant while retaining other duties. GDPR rekindled my interest in law, with many clients seeking clarification on both the understanding of the law and the physical implementations of the security and organisational measures necessary to comply with the legislation. I completed the GDPR Foundation and Practitioner course and became a certified data protection officer. I advised the organisation on GDPR compliance as a data protection consultant.
I have always been interested in real estate. In 2017, I began accumulating a portfolio of properties; To better navigate this industry, I enrolled on the Certified mortgage adviser course and I am a fully qualified UK mortgage advisor.
This year in 2022, I retired from all paid employment to focus on my property management company. As a result of the enormous free time that I now have, I have rekindled my interest in law, politics, and academics, and I look forward to sharing my expertise.
