Starting out on my career as a tradesman, the method in those days were to hand you the job with a simple "get it done" Learning very quick on how to set these jobs up, I soon realised that there has to be a better way to get the results I wanted. This is where the learning curve really began. Now, 30+ years later, I hold a Diploma of Business Management, Advanced Diploma Project Management, Cert IV Training and Assessment and a string of trade qualifications.
This, combined with 15 years as a Project Manager, has served me well and it is time to transfer those skills to other likeminded individuals that are passionate about their profession. Not driven by theory as prescribed, I focus on aspects that a Project Manager will encounter when taking on his/her new project.
We all have different expectations when taking on a training course, but the ultimate goal is to gain a skill that can be applied in our particular role(s). This is where I believe we need to understand our industry and tailor our training packages to focus on those things we can use immediately.
Being passionate about my career, I look for this passion in others and love to see how they improve by continuing to learn new skills. This is what makes it all worth teaching!
