About me
I am an author, metaphysician and death walker (end of life doula) who have been interested in ancient cultures, mythology and esoteric sciences for over half of my lifetime.
These interests have led me to study earth-centric spiritualities, where I have undergone initiation into a number of traditions, gaining certified qualifications in various energetic healing modalities, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysical Sciences, and also holding a Level 1 yogic teaching qualification (although I confess being more interested in the philosophy as opposed to performing the asanas).
My interest in ancient cultures and age-old mysteries has seen me travel to various archaeological sites around the world, in particular Egypt, Crete and Türkiye, while my interest in the internal mysteries have seen me travel to Bali and India.
I am the author of Dancing the Sacred Wheel (2012), In Her Sacred Name: Writings on the Divine Feminine (2018), Encountering the Dark Goddess: A Journey into the Shadow Realms (2021), Contemporary Witchcraft: Foundational Practices for the Magical Life (2021), and On Her Silver Rays: A Guide to the Moon, Myth and Magic (2023). I have contributed essays to over 20 anthologies and my articles have appeared in over 40 magazines.
I have been presenting at local, international and also online conferences on an assortment of esoteric, mythological and metaphysical subjects since 2003.
I am the founder of the Mystical Soul Academy (Adelaide, South Australia) where I like to share my deep passion for ancient cultures, alternative healing practices, and inspiration as to how we can reconnect with nature and to the wisdom of our ancestral past in order to enhance our lives today.
In my spare time, I craft devotional beads for my Etsy store, read oracle cards, and make a rather tasty peach chutney.
