Dr. Jeb Hurley

Dr. Jeb Hurley (Jeb) traces his interest in leadership and insatiable curiosity about why people do what they do to his first sales role working for his dad, a love of history, and his graduate school organizational behavior courses. Rapidly moving into leadership roles early in his career allowed Jeb to make plenty of mistakes and figure out how to fix them. He experienced the pain and frustration caused by toxic managers and learned from some outstanding leaders.

Today, with 30-years of experience in global leadership roles at F100 companies and tech startups, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Jeb is a leading expert on organizational trust and team dynamics. He is a two-time author, and his breakthrough research led to a better understanding of leader behavior, team engagement, and exceptional performance. He is passionate about finding innovative solutions to the challenges of leading hybrid, cross-cultural and cross-generational teams and improving people’s lives at work.

That passion led to Jeb’s doctoral research at HP and spending nearly ten years walking together with team leaders. He co-founded Xmetryx in 2019 to build on his work and research. The company’s TrustMetryx Team Dynamics platform blends behavioral science and software to help team leaders inspire trust, overcome biases and behavior challenges, and improve psychological safety on and across hybrid teams. In parallel, Jeb co-founded Brainware Partners to prepare team leaders for hybrid work challenges and ensure that their teams thrive in a hybrid workplace.
