Hey my name is Derek, and as someone who loves logic and problem solving, it's only natural that I'm drawn to computer programming.

I have always been eager to explore technology as a kid, and this curiosity developed into a more serious interest when I was introduced to computer science in middle school. As I experienced the fulfillment of creating my own app, I knew that coding was something worth pursuing. The way that programming called for logical and innovative thinking made it stand out from other subjects. Since then, I have developed several websites and mobile apps, and gained experience in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, and PHP. As I continue my journey, I only hope to expand my knowledge. As the next step, I want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn about coding. So when I was given the chance to join K.I.T.E, I was eager to help out, believing that all people with an interest in programming should be able to learn and experience it for themselves.
