Derek Henig

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Syracuse University, I followed my passion for teaching into the field of Tutoring.

I tutored as an in-home tutor and an online tutor. I tutored for other companies and started my own tutoring business, Roaming Scholars, which I ran successfully for 8 years. I stopped only because it was time for a change and to accept some great alternative opportunities in front of me.

I've since taught science and engineering at a K-8 school in North Carolina and have recently been honored with the role of Assistant Head of School.

When it comes to tutoring and teaching, I've experienced a lot. I think tutoring is an amazing way to help improve the lives and well-being of students. It's also an incredible opportunity to help those same students pursue their passions and believe in themselves.

Teaching and tutoring is an extremely rewarding career, and I hope to help others join the field and to do great things.
