I'm an entrepreneur living in San Francisco who loves to create online businesses and digital media products. I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2006 when me and a good buddy created Fanpop, a network of fan clubs that connects people with their passions. Together with our dedicated but small team, we grew Fanpop from nothing more than an idea into a popular web destination that draws over 15 million monthly visitors and generates 7 figures in annual revenue. Prior to Fanpop, I worked as a product manager at Yahoo!, Yodlee and Ziff Davis Media. I have nearly two decades of experience working on online products and services.
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Hawaii. I moved to the “mainland" to attend college in Los Angeles, California and Cambridge, Massachusetts. At one point in time I was working on a Ph.D. in music and did an abrupt u-turn when I moved to California to work for a variety of tech firms during the first dotcom bubble. I'm happily married to my high-school sweetheart and wife of 20 years. We have three lovely, rambunctious children ages 13, 9 and 3. When I'm not driving my kids to soccer games, swimming and music lessons, I enjoy cooking, reading, exercising, playing the ukulele.
