Dave has decades of experience working with children. He began in the 1990s as a tutor while attending the University of Georgia and then he continued to teach in private and public schools. Dave is currently working in pediatric healthcare as a radiology tech. He also has a son who enjoys testing limits to their utmost boundaries (in other words, a typical 6 year old).
He has learned over the years that children will never simply listen to instructions and do what is expected (let's be honest, we were all like this). For an adult to truly be in control we must always be problem-solvers, which means we must maintain a toolbox full of tips, tricks, and techniques and we must be flexible enough to adjust on the fly to solve the newest problem. Because of this, Dave is always on the lookout for new parenting books, courses, and podcasts, so feel free to make a recommendation.
His journey into meditation has been rockier, also beginning in the 1990s while in high school. It took decades of experimenting with different methods and philosophies in order to find an approach that not only works for him, but is teachable to others as well.
