About me
Hi, I am David Golding, and I would like to explain a little about myself and my background.
From early childhood I began suffering from Anxiety, Overthinking, OCD, Depression and my life was shaped by Fear and Worry.
Despite having successful careers, a family and all the trappings of a modern life, I was never comfortable in my own skin, and I ran away into drink, drugs and gambling to numb the pain from an early age.
However, I am now a healthy, and at peace, recovered, Alcoholic, Cocaine Addict, Gambling addict and I am a full-time Recovery Coach.
I spent over 15 years going on my personal addiction discovery journey, before finally succeeding in recovery. My journey through rehabilitation was not the prettiest or most glamorous story but it's worth telling as my experience may help others going down that difficult path of sobriety, to find hope and believe in themselves once again.
The truth is, you don’t have to have substance abuse problems to use David’s methods and change your life.
Why? Because, reinventing yourself is 1% stopping and 99% putting in the action of change. It’s not difficult to do that, it’s a simple set of principles that anyone can follow. And then, before you know it, you are “version 2” of yourself.
I truly believe that we are all able to significantly transform ourselves.
To stop destructive thinking and destructive behaviours.
But where do we start? How do we start? And what exactly do we change, even if we wanted to?
I am a Certified CBT Practitioner as well as having lived experience of self-destructive behaviours and constant negative thinking.
My Programmes of Self-Transformation therefore include approaches taught in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Meditation and my teachings which have been distilled from working with hundreds of individuals over the last few years.
These easy techniques illuminate the changes necessary to ultimately change the way we think, which changes how we feel and ultimately how we behave. Only when we change how we think will we be free.
Free from the constant voice in our heads and all that fear and worry.
I have created daily tools that help me, and my clients navigate the stresses of normal life without running away, without living in constant fear and anxiety, and ultimately finding mental peace one day at a time.
One of those tools is Meditation.
