Hey! My name is Dave and I'm a professional guitarist here in Toronto, Canada. I have been playing professionally for over a decade now and in that time I've had the opportunity to support some really talented artists across a wide range of genres and styles.
While my performance history may not reflect it, I've always really enjoyed studying jazz music. I received my BMus in 2012 from Toronto's Humber College, and I also studied bebop for several years under an apprentice of Dr. Barry Harris.
Ever since the beginning of my career, teaching has always been something that I am passionate about. I have been fortunate enough to have had some very inspiring teachers myself in my formative years and I feel proud to have the opportunity to pass on my own love of music and the guitar to students across the globe.
Nowadays, the world is filled with really great resources like YouTube where anybody who wants to learn a specific song can do so for free. I make it a point to fill my online courses with material that cannot be found for free online, and that will empower my students with the background knowledge that will allow them to see past these more short term musical goals and appreciate the guitar and music more deeply.
