Dara Murray joined the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) in 2014. As the Manager of Program Quality and Evaluation, Dara develops and implements formative evaluation and quality assessment projects designed to improve the quality of summer learning programs. Prior to joining NSLA, Dara worked as the Community Engagement Coordinator at The SEED School of Maryland and Assistant Director of Camp Fire USA – Baltimore. She also completed two years with the AmeriCorps program Public Allies Maryland. Her experiences with youth programs and youth development include service-learning, tutoring, leadership development, community-based experiential learning, curriculum planning, and volunteer recruitment and management. Dara earned her master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Public Policy in 2014 and earned a bachelor's degree in behavioral science from Drew University in 2009. She is also certified by The After-School Institute in Advancing Youth Development.
