I am Dr. D. Ramesh Babu, and I bring with me over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, research, consultancy, and project management, particularly focused on the supply chain management of fresh produce. I am currently working as a Professor of Practice in the School of Business at SR University, Warangal, India, where I teach subjects like Logistics, Production and Operations Management, Port Management, and Intellectual Property Rights.

My industrial journey began at Voltas Limited, where I worked in the refrigeration manufacturing division. I later served at DRDO–Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore, contributing to food preservation research and receiving the DRDO Cash Award in 2003. I also worked as a Senior Manager in CONCOR–Ministry of Railways, handling cold chain and terminal logistics operations. In 2011, I was part of an international training program in Israel on cold chain systems for apple preservation, which deepened my understanding of global cold chain technologies.

In the academic and research domain, I have published 5 SCI Q1 journal papers and 35 papers in Scopus-indexed journals. I have also been actively involved in innovation and patent writing, with 25 patents granted and 84 published patents across food processing, cold chain systems, logistics automation, and sustainable packaging technologies. Through my courses on Udemy, I aim to share practical insights and field-tested knowledge with students, professionals, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about logistics, operations, and innovation in the agri-food and manufacturing sectors.
