What qualifies me to teach?

  1. For the past 16 years, I have been an entrepreneur, focused on starting and growing companies in several different competitive fields of work.
  2. I have helped to found 4 different companies. I have served on the board of directors for 5 different for-profit companies along with 2 not-for-profit companies.
  3. I'm a business owner and an employer. I co-own businesses that have had in excess of 25 employees. We have revenues of over $1,000,000.00 per year and have had individual contracts that totaled over $750,000.00.
  4. I have 5 years of formal education with specialties in accounting and finance and hold degrees in both fields (University of Central Florida).
  5. I hold a license as a State Certified Building Contractor, which required 14 hours of written testing.
  6. I have co-owned a marketing business that had a strong focus on online marketing. We have handled digital strategies and design for businesses, not-for-profit entities and politicians.
  7. I co-host a podcast (This Week in Internet Business) and previously co-hosted another podcast (Internet Business Questions), both of which deal with helping beginner and advanced internet marketers to grow their businesses.
  8. I am a father. I'm constantly teaching anyway ;)

Why learn from me?

  1. I am a life-long learner. I love learning new topics and techniques and then teaching those to others. I love to learn about anything and everything.
  2. I like research. I spend hours each week researching and keeping up on the latest trends in all of the fields that I operate in.
  3. I think like a student. When I teach something, I cover everything, step-by-step. I assume that the student doesn't know anything about a topic, not to offend them, but to be sure that the student has all the information they need to be able to apply whatever it is that we are going over.
  4. I like structure. When you take a course from me, you can rest assured that I have researched a topic, created an outline and planned out a course. I try to keep all of my individual lectures short to help keep your attention and so that you can learn one particular topic or technique and then apply it. I also include written instructions that summarize what we've gone over so that you have yet another way to reinforce the information and apply it.
  5. I like efficiency. I do my best to find the easiest, most practical way to accomplish a task to get maximum results. I focus on finding the most efficient way of doing something and then tech that way, avoiding having too much of a variety just for the sake of variety.
  6. I like to be creative. Creativity is an important part of business. I strive to put creativity into my businesses and use both photography and videography as an outlet for my creative endeavors, both for business and for personal enjoyment.
