Clare has extensive experience of working with international businesses and in the hospitality industry. She spent 16 years working at senior management level with European and American organisations. During that time, she was Head of Corporate Development for XO Global Communications, Customer Marketing Manager for SAP UK, and has worked in and managed multinational teams. In these roles, she was responsible for selling strategic IT information services to Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as running all support services including Customer Care, Product Support and Distribution.
Following her passion for people development, Clare transitioned to working with 2 leading UK team development companies, assisting key clients including The Prime Minister’s Office and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to take their teams to the next level of performance.
Clare is fluent in the Dutch language and conversant in French and German. She has consulted to a number of organisations in the UK and Australia, including commercial, public sector and not for profit clients. In April 2015 Clare relocated back to the UK and launched her business BrainSmart, based on the principles of Neuroleadership and Neurochange (leadership and change through understanding the brain).
An intuitive ability to sense challenges and opportunities in inter-team dynamics, to help organisations create or enhance their culture and to facilitate sustainable change through people are Clare’s particular strengths.
Clare holds a Diploma of the Neuroscience of Leadership, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of West London and is a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Team Management Systems® (TMS) Practitioner and Opportunity Orientation Profile Practitioner. She holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is a Professional Member of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA), a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She has also studied the ‘Foundations of Positive Psychology’ with The University of Pennsylvania's College of Liberal & Professional Studies and ‘Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence’ with Case Western Reserve University.
