Christine Woodcock, Ph.D.
Professor specializing in literacy
About me
Christine Woodcock has always loved school, reading and children’s literature, which is what inspired her to pursue a doctorate in Reading from the University at Albany. She is passionate about working with children, families, and teachers around issues of literacy. From a young age, Christine began working as a child care provider, children’s librarian, art teacher, and dance instructor. Those experiences helped mold her into the professional educator she is today. After teaching special education in a variety of urban, rural, and suburban environments in K-8th grade settings, Christine served as a full time professor for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Towson University, and Southern New Hampshire University, and directed the Reading Specialist program at American International College. Currently, Christine is a professor at Medaille College
