Consultant and Instructor
Can Izgi, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM I
As a consultant and instructor in the company Istanbul Kurumsal Gelisim, Can Izgi has been teaching Project Management courses. The courses he has been teaching include “Agile Project Management with Microsoft Project – 14 Hours”, “IT Project Management – 21 Hours”, “Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam Preparation – 35 Hours”, among others. All the courses he has been teaching are approved by Project Management Institute (PMI)® and can be found in the PMI® Education Provider Portal.
Before joining Istanbul Kurumsal Gelisim, he was a Project Manager in Turkcell, which is a telecommunication and technology services provider, founded and headquartered in Turkey. Some of the projects he managed include: IT infrastructure for credit card systems of banks, portal design, LAN and WAN systems, generic server platform for third party companies, vehicle location information system, and call center design for field technicians.
He is a member of PMI® since 2005. He holds an Authorized Training Partner Instructor certificate issued by PMI®. In addition, he holds the following certificates: Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® and Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I).
He is one of the draft reviewers of the Software Extension to the PMBOK® Guide Fifth Edition. In addition, he is one of the reviewers of the drafts for the fifth, sixth and seventh editions of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide).
He speaks Turkish, English and German. He graduated from the high school Istanbul Erkek Lisesi. He has a BS degree and an MS degree both in Electrical Engineering; with the BS degree from Bosphorus University, Turkey and the MS degree from Syracuse University, USA. He resides in Istanbul, Turkey with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing the flute, origami and doing amateur performing arts.
